Counselling for Teens
(aged 13 to 17)

Being a teenager is often tricky. Seemingly overnight, people go from being a child who knows who they are and how they relate to others, to becoming almost a stranger to themselves, with a constantly changing body, mind and feelings. At its best, adolescence can be an exciting time rich with life-shaping experiences -- but at its worst, the teenage years can be a baffling, disempowering period during which we can feel lost, unsafe and unmoored. Getting support for mental health can often make a difference.

In my work with teens I like to briefly meet with a parent or guardian and the young person together before we agree to have regular sessions, so that we can all understand everyone's goals and expectations. When you book the Consultation Session, please clarify if the counselling is for yourself or for your young person.
